Little Dragons

Our Little Dragons Program is a class specifically geared toward students who are 3, 4, and 5 years old. Through years of teaching we have found that students of those ages work best together.  We have a specially designed curriculum with the younger students in mind.  We know that 3-5 year olds require structure to help motivate them to do their best, yet they need to be able to release all that wonderful youthful energy in a positive environment.  Our school provides that balance.  Our classes are energetic and fun, focused and controlled, and filled with great martial arts curriculum.

Our goal is to develop in each student:

  • Self-control, discipline, and listening skills
  • Confidence and a can-do attitude
  • Increased fitness level, gross motor skill development, and a love for exercise
  • Respect for parents, teachers, and themselves
  • Safety, stranger awareness, and self defense against life’s challenges
  • The ability to work with other children

We consistently achieve our goals because our instructors care about our students, love to teach, and have remarkable patience in dealing with every age group.  We never yell at or punish our students, and we get results with our positive praise-correct-praise style of behavior reinforcement.

There are 7 belt levels in the LITTLE DRAGONS program. Students will earn belts based on their attendance, behavior and ability to demonstrate some basic Martial Arts techniques. Once a student has progressed in age, maturity, and ability, he/she will be ready to move up to our children’s program and will be ready to test for his/her Bo yellow belt, the first of many in the children’s program.

“Our experience with Kaizen Martial Arts has been very positive.  In addition to the benefit of the physical activity, Jake, our 4 year old son, has learned a sense of commitment and a sense of pride in what he can accomplish through hard work.  The instructors care about the students and work well with them, using the proper mixture of discipline and fun.  My son loves coming to class.”

“I love the little dragons program.  I enrolled my son in a six week introductory program to see if he would like it and needless to say we are still here.  Now, every morning when he wakes up the first words he utters is, "Do I have Karate today?"  I have never seen my son so attentive and respectful.  Thank you to Mr. LoPinto and the entire staff for helping me raise a well rounded child.”
-Sharyn Triplett (Burlington)

“I have two sons who attend Kaizen Martial Arts of New Jersey.  My son Jake is in the Children’s Program.  Adam, my younger son is in the Little Dragons Program.  They both have developed self-discipline, confidence and focus.  I have been extremely pleased with this school as they have a flexible class schedule and exceptional instructors.  They provide a safe environment for the children to release energy and encourage each child to do their “own” best.  Each class ends with “high tens” for everyone and most importantly the children are having fun.”
-Mrs. DeAngelis (Mt. Laurel)

“My six year old son has been enrolled with Kaizen Martial Arts School for about two years now.   He began in the Little Dragons program and has since graduated to the Children’s program.  In this span, I have seen a noticeable improvement in his behavior, his self-esteem, and his physical abilities.  As a parent, it is great to see your child blossom and, thanks to the great instructors at Kaizen, my son has really taken to the school.  They offer a great mix of disciplined learning, while still ensuring the kids have fun while there.  My younger son has now been enrolled in the Little Dragons for about six months and we are very happy with how the school deals with their younger, more active  students.  The patience and dedication that all the instructors show is exemplary and contributes to the success of the school and growth and maturity of the children.”
